Today we decided to head down to Gardens, downstairs of MYOGA to have Japanese for dinner! Hehe.. as I was already quite full, so we didnt exactly ordered that much... just a very simple dinner that costed less than RM80...

One of the more interesting stuffs that I had in Hong Kong is the steamed milk dessert - also known as 'tan nai'. Had it yesterday somewhere in Causeway Bay / Wan Chai area here in Hong Kong... hehehehe...

For HKD20 per bowl, this is actually a very affordable dessert!

The yummilicious food chain Tony Roma's is currently having a promo for their meat and seafood lover (only valid till 3rd May 2009!!). Look at the photo's doesn't it just make your mouth water? I can't wait to go and try it out... Even their salad's are fantastic (trust me - i am so not a vege eater but that is also something that you should check out when you are there)

If you like siew long pao and fusion Chinese food, and you dont mind paying slight more for good food, then Din Tai Fung is the right place to go.

Last night, myself and my boo went over to Din Tai Fung at Gardens, Midvalley to check out what they had. The selections on the menu was quite limited, but the food was pretty good.

Somewhere halfway between Kuala Lumpur and Lumut, we made a short stopover at a small town called Bidor. Bidor is a town along the old North-South trunk road; thus with the exposure to many motorists, many different restaurants sprung up like mushrooms. However, since the North South Highway came along, many had gone by and this restaurant was one of the good ones that was left!

This will be quite a short post. Sometime recently, while checking out kampungboycitygal's blog, I came across this restaurant. Its called RIBS, which is located at Oasis BU4. Where's this? It is seriously a hidden short row of shops, just across the road from the driving range at One Utama.

Recently, my buddy Ezra brought my booz and I to a nice place, situated in a nice retreat in Taman Tun Dr Ismail. Mind you, Ezra's a big shisha fan. He loves his shisha, and funniest part, despite the ~~lazy~~ ~~malas~~ 'lazy-to-drive' character of his, he's ever willing to drive to this place for his beloved SHISHA!

This place is called RASTA @ TTDI!!!!!

Sometimes I have this strong feeling that we come here so often because EZRA owns, or at least, has a share in this place.

But he insists he didnt - and in actual fact, Azim (guy on left) is the one who owns the place. Well done bro!

Anyways, let me continue with whats on the menu at this place.

I've tried many other things there too - it has a very established array of shisha flavours - featuring Al ~~Fucker~~ Fakher and Bahraini ranges mmm.... All in, one thing I cant find a picture of is - the LEKOR!!!!! My boo loves it, and so do I!

So on a day that.. say you wanna avoid alcohol or the congestions and the traffic jams of Kuala Lumpur, head down to RASTA TTDI for a refreshing shisha and so on. I definitely recommend the place to all...

Sometime ago, I pissed my gf off big time.

Then after that, I tried to make up for it - by bringing her to a nice and romantic dinner at PRIME in Le Meridien Hotel, KL Sentral. The place was somewhat apparently supposed to be a very nice and romantic place - whereby its steak and all are like the top of the range.

However, despite the great service and setting, I tend to think its kinda overrated.

Satay (spelled as sate in both Indonesian and Malay) is a dish consisting of chunks or slices of dice-sized meat (chicken, goat, mutton, beef, pork, fish, etc.) on bamboo skewers. These are grilled over a wood or charcoal fire, then served with various spicy seasonings (depends on satay recipe variants).

Satay may have originated in Java or Sumatra, Indonesia, but it is also popular in many other Southeast Asian countries, such as: Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, and Thailand, as well as in The Netherlands which was influenced through its former colonies.

Satay is a very popular delicacy in Indonesia, with a rich variety among Indonesia’s diverse ethnic groups’ culinary art (see Cuisine of Indonesia). In Indonesia, satay can be obtained from a traveling satay vendor, from a street-side tent-restaurant, in an upper-class restaurant, or during traditional celebration feasts. In Malaysia, satay is a popular dish - especially during celebrations - and can be found throughout the country. A close analog in Japan is yakitori. Shish kebab from Turkey and sosaties from South Africa are also similar to satay.

Sate Kajang Hj Samuri is the most successful satay operator from Kajang and it's a huge business with outlets everywhere. Most of their outlets are located along the highway stops like Sungai Buluh's overhead restaurant, Kesas Highway, Elite and Guthrie Highways. There are also bigger outlets at Putrajaya, Bukit Tinggi and Senawang. Besides a bigger portion you get on a stick, they have also removed all the pesky fats and chewy bits from the meat making it an easier meal for everyone.
